begins here :
Welcome to our South By SouthEast (SxSE Podcast) page! We are a local podcast based out of the SouthEast Side of Chicago and cover a wide range of places, people and events in Chicago and Northwest Indiana.
We strive to help out the little guys and mom and pop spots because we, ourselves, are the little guys!
Our story begins in March of 2019 when we felt a need to highlight small, local, independently owned businesses that were from our area and weren't getting the attention they so rightfully deserved. We decided to put all our past knowledge of journalism and audio to the test, which is how SxSE was born.
Our name, South By SouthEast comes from the small little part of Chicago that both Co-Hosts originate from. We wanted to pay homage to where we've come from and bring attention to the forgotten part of Chicago that most people don't know too much about.
Please join us on our little journey in bringing attention to all the mom and pop places in "The Area" and "The Region"! We've got a lot more places to cover and we've only just begun!
